Help Someone Begin Again
The Society of St. John DeMatha, founded by St. Laurence parishioners, brings Christ’s love to those in prison and helps men rebuild their lives after release. Its work includes Catholic faith formation inside prison, along with mentoring and short-term housing for men returning to the community. Volunteers are needed to assist with Catholic education, teach life skills or job skills, and mentor men after release. Financial gifts also help sustain this ministry’s outreach and housing support. Visit the website to complete the Volunteer and Support Form. For questions, contact Myatt Hancock at 713-806-4044 or
